Something In Return

So i decided to write yet another song, i wrote this one in the past three days i was bored at work. hope you like it.

Title: Something In Return (Go Away Forever)

I got to catch my breath
Cause I got to get out of here
This place makes me so sick
I want to be anywhere, but right here now
I found my self running away
With nowhere to hide or lay my head at night
I had to make a choice
What do you think I did?
I couldn't get your voice out of my head

Why can't you go away forever?
Even if the words you say to me are true
They don't ever help
They only make things worse
Why can't you go away forever?
(Go away forever)
It's ok if you want to care for me
But I don't think you care
You just want something in return

I finally got away
An ocean between us now
And I don't miss you one bit
But you always find a way to get the best of me
And I always fall for that same old trick
But not this time
No, you wont take anything away from me again
But you can try
But you will only come up empty handed

Why can't you go away forever?
(Go away forever)
Even if the words you say to me are true
They don't ever help
They only make things worse
Why can't you go away forever?
(Go away forever)
It's ok if you want to care for me
But I don't think you care
You just want something in return
Yeah, something in return (something in return)

Been super long time.. thought i'd post a recent myspace blogs

Ideal Duo
Current mood: relaxed

Well i decided to try something different. I dont usually write like this but i had the urge i guess u could say. either that or i was becoming extremely bored at school. either way not sure if this will happen again anytime soon so i hope u all enjoy. One day i should like to compose some music possibly to compliment this but who knows.

Title: Ideal Duo

I pray this night will last
With only the two of us.
We just have to stop looking at the past
And be thankful for whats been given to us

Set your eyes forward
Don't ever look back
Together we'll make it through
Together we'll last

With my hands at the wheel I'll drive all night
But with you by my side it will be all right
It will be all right
And if I loose my way and the both of us get LOST
It'll be ok
Yeah it'll be ok
Because when we open our eyes this will all go away

Set your eyes forward
Don't ever look back
Together we'll make it through
Together we'll last

And when the Sun awakes
We'll go our separate ways
We'll never see each other in the day
With no time to play
But when the sun sleeps
We'll come back again
And we'll drive away
Till who knows when…

I feel there isn't really much I am putting into this one and when it comes down to it the concept is really quite simple but… the past oh 2 months I have been meditating on it. As usual it may be kinda rough and I might ramble. Comments are always welcome.

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalms 50:15:
Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.

Psalms 9:9: The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

I think we can all agree that there are difficult times in our lives. For example, a bad day at work, car trouble, speeding tickets, outrageous cell phone bills, relationship problems. Some may be more serious than others but regardless tough times are something we all deal with.

I find in my life I turn to my friends for guidance. Usually I tend to find one or two of them who can relate to my situation and then encourage me through the sharing of experiences they themselves have dealt with. On that same note I find many times my friends will fail me. (note: by fail I mean they cant always help or aren't available, or even don't give the best advice.) But I cant blame them. Us as humans are destined to fail.

This is the realization I have come to, When I am going through a tough time I tend to go down a list of friends who I think may be able to satisfy my need in a certain area, then if those friends don't work out I may move to my parents and then from there if I am still not satisfied I will resort to taking my problem to God. Its this making God a "last resort" where I go wrong because God desires to help and encourage us the second we enter into a difficult time.

So I am making it a point to "reconcile my confidence" in God and make it a habit to turn to him first when in the time of need.

If you would like more verses on "Trusting God" let me know because I can get more for you. There are well over 75 verses in the bible pertaining to "Trust".

Define the Great Line pt. 2

Define the Great Line pt. 2

Reasons for why I have written.

Romans 14:5: "Some consider one day more sacred than another; others consider every day alike. Everyone should be fully convinced in his own mind"

Romans 14:14: "I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean"

Romans 14:23: "But those who have doubts are condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin."

-This blog hopefully will have some connection to my previous one and the goal is to further the thought from the previous blog.

Like always I never now how clear my thoughts are until someone reads them and gives me feedback on it so if it seems rough. Then it probably is.

There's a parable I read in a magazine I believe fits well with what I am about to say. Its about a famous tailor who made a suit fitting the style of the day for a very wealthy man. The suit did not fit in the slightest, with arms in wrong places and such. However, because of the reputation of this tailor, the man wore the suit. Riding home one day, a man exclaimed, "I knew your tailor was good, but I had no idea he could fit a suit so perfectly to someone as deformed as you!"

When you think about it the church (in a broad sense.) tends to come up with an idea of how the Christian faith should be lived. The church then lays down these set of standards or codes on how the Christian life should be lived. And they push and shove people to fit their Christian Lifestyle. This is Legalism. "Which is dependence on moral law rather than on personal religious faith" And it is Legalism in the church that destroys the Christians heart. Take this for example. Romans 14:5: "Some consider one day more sacred than another; others consider every day alike. Everyone should be fully convinced in his own mind" in other words this is saying your actions should not be dependent on the standards of the Church but rather by the faith in which your are convicted to believe in. while mentioning conviction I believe there two types of convictions one can have.

Personal Conviction- which deals with smoking a cigar or drinking a beer.

Biblical Conviction- which deals with forgiveness, honesty, humbleness and the greater truths.

Both are important but its when we let our Personal convictions become more important then the Biblical that makes us slip up.

This section I read out of an article. I believe makes a great point. Paul urges believers to terminate their criticism. It's when differences of opinion happen concerning deeply held beliefs; our reactions are usually quite extreme. Paul's point is that every Christian is ultimately responsible to God. And while we do have the responsibility to encourage, correct and edify each other, we do not have the freedom to take part in the work of evaluation. Only Christ has that authority.

That being said we are to intentionally see the other's point of view. Romans 14:14 "I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean" Paul is saying that there is nothing fundamentally right or wrong with eating certain kinds of meat, but if someone has a conviction about the meat, he should obey that conviction. Paul then goes to say in Romans 14:23 "But those who have doubts are condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin." And Paul leaves us to challenge our attitudes in everything we do. Point being. If you feel that it is ok to have a beer, why is it ok? If you feel that it is wrong to have a beer why is it wrong? In the end this challenge makes our decisions more intention and not just some rule you follow because its what your parents believe or your churches doctrine. And in the end this is what we are suppose to do, make everything faith driven.

(note this is not my quote)

"Like Paul, we are to take every thought captive. Legalism is based on pride and personal conviction. Lordship, on the other hand, is based on love and obedience founded on Biblical conviction."

Define the Great Line

This verse is the reason for why I have written. (I think its important for me to back up what I say with where I got it from the bible thus the verse at the beginning of every blog)

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

This one is a little rough just a lot of thought typed up so if it doesnt seem to flow forgive me.

Recently I have read and spent time pondering this. Where will us Christians stand? Will we blend in with the world? Or will we define our convictions? In most cases it seems the mediocre Christian likes to stand on both sides of the line. Like when around there friends from school or work, some may do stupid regretful things to entertain or fit in. While next day with there church buddies or Christian peers get highly involved in the church by maybe praying or expressing how God has blessed his or her life. This is someone who I would say doesnt have there convictions straight. Granted not everyones convictions will be the same but I think it is important to establish them because it will help you to not waver in times of temptation. So its time for us to get our act together. We need to make up our mind so people know what we stand for even if it means, not being cool. We are called to be witnesses for Christ. He died for us if we cant turn down a few situations in order to please him, how much do we really love like we all say we do? I am tired now and I think my brain has become worthless for the rest of the evening. Comments and Question are always accepted feel free to tell me what you think.
